On the afternoon of March 30, 2018, a "New Employee Safety Production and Fire Drill Training" session was held in the company's multi-purpose hall on the first floor. This training kicked off the company's "Safety Publicity Month" activities in April. During the publicity month, the company organized nearly ten training sessions on fire fighting skills and safety knowledge, and held fire drills and escape drills in the open space near the machining workshop. Participants included employees from various processes, workshop directors, department heads, and dedicated safety officers.
During the training, two instructors carefully prepared relevant lesson plans. The training content was rich, diverse, and targeted. It covered four aspects: the principles and use of fire extinguishers and other fire-fighting equipment; escape and first-aid knowledge; safe operating procedures; and accident cases. In the classroom, the instructors used real accident cases to analyze the causes of accidents, educating employees to prevent accidents before they happen, improving their awareness and ability to prevent accidents, and reducing or eliminating accidents. All employees listened attentively, watched carefully, and took notes diligently, achieving tangible results.
In addition, the employee safety and fire drills organized by the company were also carried out vigorously during this publicity month. Following the command of the fire chief, employees began emergency evacuation from the second floor, proceeding floor by floor according to the escape diagram. From the command to the evacuation of the last employee from the safety exit, it only took a few minutes. This fire drill was divided into two stages: the first stage was emergency evacuation, and the second stage was fire extinguishing. Each stage proceeded orderly according to the plan, achieving the expected results. Furthermore, the fire drill further strengthened the company's employees' safety awareness and tested the feasibility and operability of the fire prevention plan.
The "Safety Publicity Month" activities not only stimulated the learning interest of all employees but also improved their enthusiasm for participating in safety production, achieving a company-wide consensus of "awareness is greater than prevention, and responsibility is greater than implementation." It truly achieved comprehensive coverage, taking a big step towards the company's goal of "zero accidents in safety production for the whole year."
